Information for your visit to the Torpenhow Cheese Festival – Saturday 23 July

We’re delighted that you’ll be joining us at our festival ‘feast’. Please can we ask that you arrive no later than 11:30am to allow for parking and making your way to the farm itself and a drinks and canapés reception before lunch at 12 noon.

Ben Queen-Fryer, chef and proprietor of the Michelin Starred Dog & Gun, Skelton, and his team have created a wonderful menu for you, including a signature dish of Twice-Baked Torpenhow Cheddar & Black Truffle Soufflé.

We’ll sit down to eat at 12 noon.

Getting here.

Our address is: Park House Farm, Torpenhow, Wigton CA7 1JZ
From the A595, approximately half-way between Bothel and Mealsgate, take the turning to Blennerhasset and Torpenhow. Once at the village, turn left past St Michael’s Church and follow this road the short distance to the entrance of Park House Farm.


If travelling through the Lakes, from Keswick take the A591 along the eastern side of Bassenthwaite before turning right towards Whitrigg and following the signs to Torpenhow. Once at the village, turn right and follow the road through the village to Park House Farm.


Car Parking.

Parking is in the first field on your right, from where it is a short walk along the track to the Farm. Transport to the Farm will be provided for those unable or not wishing to walk.
