Trusmadoor
£7.95
Trusmadoor is our award-winning crumbly, creamy fresh cheese with a delicate citrus tang that lingers in the mouth and, we hope, will last even longer in the memory.
Pale off-white in colour, Trusmadoor, like all our cheese, is made here in the farm dairy entirely from organic milk from the Park House herd who graze the lush, diverse Cumbrian pastures.
Trusmadoor takes its name from a gap in the northern Lake District fells which we can see from the farm; it’s a naturally undulating stretch of the national park through which shepherds have driven their flocks of sheep for centuries. It’s also a great walk and, personally, we just really like the name!
Trusmadoor has many of the characteristics typically associated with traditional Cumbrian and crumbly Lancashire cheese, and is aged for a minimum of 6-weeks in the Park House Farm barns.
We enjoy Trusmadoor with a light ale or glass of crisp white wine such as Chenin Blanc or Sauvignon Blanc, or even with a good farmhouse cider. It also melts beautifully and a personal favourite is to use it for a luxurious cauliflower cheese.
Trusmadoor won a Gold Medal in the 2022 International Cheese & Dairy Awards (Best Organic Cheese – UK Territorial Hard category).
