Organic farm drinking fresh water from a trough in summer

Dates for Your Diary – August & September

Here we are in high summer with record-breaking temperatures and talk of droughts, but we already have one eye on autumn which will be with us before we know it.

However, there’s plenty in the diary for the weeks ahead – we hope to see you at one for the following:

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th August – Taste Cumbria, Maryport

Taste Cumbria makes a return to Maryport with the county’s favourite food festival filled with local flavours and family fun. We’ll be there for both days with plenty of lovely cheese for you to try and buy.

Saturday 3rd September – Hesket Newmarket Agricultural Show

Held between Hesket Newmarket and Newlands Mill, the Hesket Newmarket Show is a traditional agricultural show event held every year and celebrates the finest of agricultural traditions.

Monday 5th & Tuesday 6th September – Speciality & Fine Food Show, Olympia, London

Torpenhow cheese will be showcased at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, an industry event for food and beverage buyers from across the retail, hospitality, food service and wholesale sectors.

Tuesday 13th September – Cumbria Growth Hub Site Visit

We’re excited to be welcoming businesses from around the county to Park House Farm as the Torpenhow Cheese Company is the focus of Cumbria Growth Hub’s first local food & drink producers site tour. Mark and Jenny will talk about their conversion journey to achieving organic accreditation for the farm, and the process to being 100% pasture fed. We’ll also be giving a tour of the dairy and cheesemaking, with some cheese tasting of course!

Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th September – Taste Cumbria, Cockermouth

Cockermouth is where Taste Cumbria started and we’re looking forward to taking part once again. The town always offers a very warm welcome to this fabulous food festival, with much of the town centre dedicated to the colourful stands and stalls from the region’s independent food producers.
