Dates for Your Diary – May 2023

The calendar of local farmers markets and food festivals are in full swing across Cumbria and thre Lake District, and here’s where you can find us and our lovely cheese throughout the month of May.

Thursday 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th May, 9am to 4pm – Keswick Market

Stretching from the top of the Market Square, down towards the corner of Bank Street the whole area is pedestrianized offering a variety of stalls, many of those locally produced. A unique, vibrant market set in the heart of the Lake District.

Friday 5th to Sunday 8th May – 54 Degrees North Fire and Food Festival

The first food and drink festival in Cumbria showcasing ONLY ingredients from the surrounding area and cooking over live fire.

Saturday 6th May, 9am to 2pm – Carlisle Farmers Market

Our cheese will be available from Christine’s Kitchen. The market is set in the idyllic grounds of Carlisle Cathedral, only a few short steps from The Fratry – perfect for a light lunch following your shopping.

Saturday 6th and 20th May, 9am to 1.30pm – Hexham Farmers Market, Market Place, Hexham

Hexham Farmers Market is always great place to meet local producers and our cheese is available from Diane and Eric of Slackhouse Farm.

Saturday 13th May, 11am to 3pm – Lockerbie Market, Lockerbie Town Hall

Our cheese will be available from this month at Lockerbie market, on the stall of Christine’s Kitchen.

Sunday 14th May – Hutton in the Forest Plant & Food Fair

We’ll be there with plenty of lovely cheese for you to try and buy, along with delicious locally produced jams and chutneys from Christine’s Kitchen.

Sunday 14th May – Moffat Farmers Market, Moffat

Held in the Town Hall, Moffat the market offers an array of produce from over 30 stalls.

Friday 19th May, 9.30 to 12.30 – Egremont Farmers Craft and Trade Market

Held in Egremont Market Hall, Market Street, Egremont. This is the only market we attend in the west of the county, and the ideal opportunity to stock up on your cheese and butter.

Saturday 20th May, 9.30 to 1.30pm – Dalston Makers Market, Victory Hall, Dalston

A compact, village farmers market offering locally produced food and artisan crafts with a warm welcoming atmosphere, not forgetting the pop-up café.

Friday 26th May, 9am to 3pm – Kendal Farmers Market, Market Place, Kendal

A truly northern farmers market with an array of award winning local produce.

Saturday 27th May, 9am to 1.30pm – Brampton Farmers Market, Brampton Town Centre

Our cheese is available alongside Christine’s Kitchen delicious jams and chutneys at Brampton’s sustainable market, which offers a wide range of local produce, sweets treats and crafts.
