LIVE Music at the Great Torpenhow Cheese Festival
FESTIVAL NOW SOLD OUT!
We’re delighted to announce a brilliant line-up of live music including no less than EIGHT BANDS at this year’s Great Torpenhow Cheese Festival!
There will be two stages for our acts – the Barn Stage and the Cheese Shed Stage – with a full programme of live music starting at 2:00pm and continuing until late.
BARN SHED STAGE
2:30pm – Faction
Popular west Cumbrian power quartet playing upbeat modern and classic rock hits from the Eagles to Radiohead, Thin Lizzy to Snow Patrol – all designed to get everyone up singing and dancing.
4:30pm – MT Arms
Cumbrian band MT Arms is a loud, electric 3-piece rhythm & blues band who are building an enviable reputation on the live circuit. Classic covers including Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan.
6:30pm – Blank Canvas
Playing those songs everyone knows and the great songs other bands just don’t play! A big-sounding five piece playing brilliant songs from Lou Reed to Pink Floyd, Hendrix, Elbow and Rag & Bone Man.
8:30pm – Cheddar George & The Chutneys
Especially re-united for the festival, these well-seasoned and blues-flavoured musicians playing a mix of originals and covers – Guy Smith on saxophone, ‘G Slide’ Grant James on guitar, Barry Mason on percussion and Tim Jamfrey on bass.
10:15pm – Redfish Blues Band
Closing our festival on a high are Redfish, a blistering blues band headed by the talented and highly-acclaimed singer/ guitarist Christian Sharpe. With influences such as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dr John and BB King, the band have developed a delicious, bubbling gumbo of blues, soul, and funk with live performances defined by a swirling dynamic energy.
CHEESE SHED STAGE
2:00pm – Sneaky Finch
Lively party rock bank from here in Cumbria – what better way to get the Festival started!
4:15pm – TBC
6:30pm – Big Trouble
Big trouble are the ultimate professional rock power trio, 70’s to present day, break out the denim and get ready to rock out with Thin Lizzy through to Kings Of Leon!
9:00pm – Tidal9
Tidal9 are a rock, indie, pop duo offering a range of originals, with a few banging covers added to the mix, a great finale on the Cheese Shed Stage!
